“Great Ceaser’s Salad!” R.I.P. Harry Morgan

Harry Morgan (aka Col. Potter from M*A*S*H) has died.

So many memories. Not the least of which are his inventive approaches to swearing… something which I as a Mormon deeply admire :)

Video: Rick Perry Remix

Rick Perry tried to attack Mitt Romney on the issue of flip/flops… it didn’t quite come out the way he was expecting. I couldn’t resist having a little fun with that moment last night. The actual exchange can be found here.

One for pee and two for poo?

According to this post by Rob Port, New York City has started rationing toilet paper to save on money.  I happened across the first cut of their PSA to inform the public about this cost-cutting measure.

Forget Guantanamo… he can get the Bieb on the phone!

I found this piece in the Daily Caller hilarious!

A few weeks ago President Obama told a 14 year old that he knew Justin Bieber and could probably help her get in touch with him.

Bless her heart, this girl wrote a winning essay that’s actually very moving about her father who dies in the 9/11 attacks.  But the notion that the President can be a teeny-bopper meet-up catalyst is just too good to pass up.

He can’t make the oceans recede, he can’t close Guantanamo, he can’t stop the financial hemorrhaging but dang it… he can get the Bieber on the phone like that! I had to laugh.

Said the girl about meeting Bieber: “He was really nice and is so cute,” Avery said. “He didn’t even look real.”

… a lot of liberals think the same thing about President Obama

RIP Peter Falk

Peter Falk dead at 83.

Peter Falk was a legend and he will be dearly missed. Very few TV characters can match the wake he cut with his character Columbo. Only recently with shows like Monk and House has TV seen his like. R.I.P.

Here’s a classic excerpt from Columbo:

Here’s Falk roasting Dean Martin:

It’s amazing looking over his career how many future stars and Hollywood types made a cameo on Columbo. Here are the names I recognized:

Murderers: Richard Basehart, Patrick Bauchau, Ed Begley, Jr., Theodore Bikel, Johnny Cash, John Cassavetes, Jack Cassidy, Dabney Coleman, Billy Connolly, Robert Conrad, Jackie Cooper, Lindsay Crouse, Robert Culp, Tyne Daly, Faye Dunaway, Hector Elizondo, José Ferrer, Lee Grant, George Hamilton, Laurence Harvey, Gary Hershberger, Martin Landau (as identical twin brothers), Janet Leigh, Ross Martin, Roddy McDowall, Patrick McGoohan, Vera Miles, Ricardo Montalban, Leonard Nimoy, Donald Pleasence, William Shatner, Andrew Stevens, Fisher Stevens, Rip Torn, Trish Van Devere, Dick Van Dyke, Joyce Van Patten, Robert Vaughn, George Wendt, Oskar Werner.
